Openings

Drivers

Responsible for delivering product to our customers in a safe and timely fashion. Automatic 2017 tractors, ELD Compliant. 2 years OTR Experience and clean MVR Required.

Receiving Staff

Responsible for inbound freight, accounting for merchandise, and accurately locating product in pick locations.

Inventory Control

Responsible for reviewing inventory discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory counts on a daily basis.

Forklift Operators

Responsible for safely navigating warehouse on motorized forklifts, moving large pallets of merchandise to and from storage areas, docks and delivery trailers.

Digital Print Operator

Responsible for operating and maintaining commercial printing equipment including color and black & white commercial printers, quality control and scheduling of print runs, keeping accurate and adequate counts of paper and other inventory.

Entry Level Graphic Designer

Responsible for developing layout and production design for corporate and retail advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports using InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator CC2017.

Merchandising

Procurs the products we sell to our customers. Work promotions from vendors and manufacturers to ensure HDW receives the best price available. Build promotions to be distributed to our customers. Maintain inventory levels.

Accounting (AR/AP)

Receivables: Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Verify credit information on new accounts. Setup and maintain customer accounts.

Payables: Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Processing invoices and issuing payments. Maintain general ledger accuracy. Assist in month end closing.

Administration

Performs general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mail distribution and filing. Coordinates and maintains records for staff office space, phones, company credit cards and office keys. Creates and modifies various documents using Microsoft Office.

Customer Service

Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges. Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media. Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information. Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling.

Sales

Duties include assisting store owners, managers and buyers with orders, merchandising product, & communicating new product opportunities.

Skills required are prior sales & customer service experience; a positive attitude and willingness to learn; and a knowledge of hardware, plumbing, electrical, and agricultural products.

Sales positions are commissioned based with a guaranteed base income.

Successful applicants will complete a training program in our corporate office followed by in-field training.

Publications

Our Publications team is in charge of producing and distributing all printed material to our sales team, customers and vendors.  The team also maintains the company website and assists our customers with their marketing & advertising needs.

Warehouse Staff

We have three departments in our warehouse staff: Receiving, Shipping and Yard.  Hours of work (Monday-Friday) vary by department.  The Receiving staff receives goods from manufacturers, while the Shipping and Yard pick and ship products to our customers.

Van Driver

Operate/drive the HDW Sales Van within all HDW Territories, presenting product displays and programs from HDW vendors. Active listening, excellent communication and presentation skills. Maintain Van Appearance Daily & Manage Van Maintenance Schedule.

The driver should be prepared to be “on the road” during each 6 week period including most weekends. All hotels, meals and van expenses will be paid by HDW.

Warehouse Operations

Operations is responsible for running the day-to-day business of our organization, maintaining profitability targets, ensuring consistency, and being a key part of the management team. In short, operations is responsible for getting things done.
